Hi! My name is Celia Tewey. I am a photographer, filmmaker, musician, visual artist, animator, and creative innovator based in Boulder, Colorado and New York City.
I have been creating multimedia content creatively and professionally throughout my middle school, high school, and now college careers. My love for filmmaking and art began when I started creating animated stop-motion short films in middle school, using simple animation of inanimate objects like clay and food. Throughout the past few years, I have slowly progressed into making both 2d and 3d animations along with live-action short films.
I have been nominated over 24 times at 11 different film festivals across the nation. I have won top awards 18 times at these awards including 1st place in Animation, 1st place in Drama, Best Overall Youth Film, and 1st Place Best Film in Show Overall.
My passion for portrait photography has increased in the past few years due to many opportunities I have had the chance to photograph. I hope to continue down the path of journalistic media throughout my career as an artist.
I have had the opportunity to photograph for notable companies and events such as IAModels in New York, New York Fashion Week, and Chocolove Chocolate Company. I have also been published in both print and digital for Picton Magazine in the July 2019 issue.
My skills in production and technology include:
High proficiency in the use of Adobe Suite apps including Premiere, Animate, After Effects, InDesign, illustrator, Lightroom, and Photoshop.
Extremely proficient in iMovie and Finalcut editing programs.
Extremely proficient with Wacom brand drawing tablets.
High proficiency in ProTools audio editing software.
Basic knowledge of Maya, CAD, and blender animation software.
Very experienced with Panasonic Lumix series, Canon T series, Canon EOS series, and Nikon D series cameras.
Experienced with analog photography in 35mm, 120, 110, disc, and polaroid film. Very proficient with the use and mechanics of Pentax k1000 and Kodak Pony cameras.
Highly proficient in musical notation and composition on programs including Sibelius, MuseScore, Garage Band, and ProTools.
In addition to film and photography, I enjoy playing both classical and jazz piano and have played for almost 13 years of my life. I score many of my own films, and hope to move forward with this creatively in the future.
I look forward to collaborating with new artists and entrepreneurs, and I can’t wait to get started!
